Commonly Asked Questions

How much money is required to be invested?

As with any business, there is a financial requirement.  The total investment required is as low as approximately $70,000. This amount includes the Initial Franchise fee of $39,900. The balance of the amount is for tools, training, software, marketing materials and working capital during the start-up phase of the business. Initial investment can be larger if you open with a showroom, although this is not required.

What is the ongoing royalty fee?

There is an ongoing royalty fee of 6% of gross sales. This is the monthly fee for the use of STOR-X brand name, proven method of doing business and operating system.

Are there any other fees?

There is an on going advertising fee of 3% of gross sales.  Such contribution goes towards development and implementation of advertising, promotions, and materials used to promote and build brand recognition of STOR-X.

How much money can I make?

As with any business, your income is directly related to your efforts and how you manage your business. We have an application process. As part of that process you will prepare a projected cash flow for the business with our template in order that you can be sure that this business meets with your specific financial needs.

What support is given to a franchisee?

The STOR-X Support Team is in place to provide you with the tools and support needed to have your franchise become the dominant brand in your community. The support starts before your franchise opens.  We train the franchisees to deliver The STOR-X experience to the customer. Once your franchise is open we continue with visits and consultation to ensure STOR-X and specifications are in place.  STOR-X provides on-going support in accounting, marketing, and software. Finally we provide quality product through our lean manufacturing facility. By buying direct from the manufacturer you ensure quality product with good margins.

Do I need any specific experience?

No, but of course any experience you may have gained previously sales will help. More than anything, we are looking for people with sound business sense who embrace our vision and high standards of customer service. Where one does not have experience in the storage business we provide additional training and you can hire experienced staff.

Will STOR-X provide training for me and at what cost?

Our training for you and your staff is thorough and complete. New Franchise Strategic Partners and new managers will be trained at head office covering all aspects of the franchised business.  Except for travel, accommodation and meals, there is no cost to you and your management team. You will open your STOR-X franchise with a great amount of confidence and knowledge taking comfort in knowing you are backed by a system and people who will help you.

What type of standards does STOR-X set?

STOR-X has many standards, specifications and procedures regarding safety, service and quality.  All of these standards are intended to create a consistent experience and product to STOR-X customer, no matter which franchise location they use.  It is through this uniformity and repetition that the brand is created and reinforced. This protects and builds upon each strategic franchise partner’s investment in the brand.

What is the next step?

If you wish to proceed in investigating STOR-X as a Strategic Franchise Partner you will need to complete a Request for Consideration. Once the information is received and it is determined you meet the initial qualifications, the Franchise Application Process will begin. You will be contacted for an Interview and the exchange of information will commence in order that we can mutually determine whether or not this is a fit.  It is important that we both make a fully informed business decision.
